Once again the winter season is fun time at Gardaland… Prezzemolo guarantees it! The funny host will welcome the Park’s visitors and join them for a fantastic journey through the magic Christmas world of Gardaland. The Park will be open on December 2 and 3, from December 7 to December 10, on the December 16-17 weekend and non-stop from December 22 to January 7 (except for December 25 and January 1) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The Park – completely decorated with lights, colours and sparkling Christmas trees – will turn into a fantastic snow-covered scene that will let children and grown-ups alike experience the magic spirit of Santa's village. Cheerfulness will be granted by lovely dancing elfs, beautiful fairies, melodies played by musicians and bagpipers and horse-pulled sleighs at the visitors’ disposal to go through the park most comfortably.
This year there are exciting new initiatives for those who love winter sports and the thrill of speed: while experiencing the magic Christmas spirit, the liveliest visitors will enjoy the big skating rink inside the Medieval Arena (ice-skaters will be available for rent at the booth located by the rink) and emulate the incredible Russian ice-skaters who perform two brand new shows at the Palaghiaccio.
Two different tracks in “Nevaplast” (a material guaranteeing the same sliding effect as genuine snow) are dedicated to one of the most amusing winter sport: inflatable snow tube sliding. The area for children sliding will be located between the attraction “Fuga da Atlantide” (Escape from Atlantis) and Merlin’s Castle; the grown-ups track will be located on the slope between the Colorado Boat and the Valley of the Kings.
While wandering through the Park, visitors will meet the extraordinary guests who will spend this year’s Christmas Holidays at Gardaland: the Looney Tunes (Sylvester, Tweety, Bugs Bunny, and Daffy Duck) who, together with Prezzemolo and Santa, will be the protagonists of a fairy-tale show in Merlin’s Castle. Sylvester, Tweety, Bugs Bunny, and Daffy Duck will also be the protagonists of entertaining gags around Santa’s sleigh and will be special guests in the “CHRISTMAS BROADWAY CELEBRATION” show on stage at the Gardaland Theatre: a thrilling musical based on the most famous American musicals and films sound tracks which will create a magic Christmas atmosphere.
Skating will be on show once again at the Gardaland Palaghiaccio with two amazing programmes: the “GRAND GALA ON ICE” will see extraordinary artists perform astounding acrobatics and figures to the rhythm of entertaining music themes that will leave children and grown-ups alike breathless. The “ANGELS ON ICE” show will present dreamy and amazing atmospheres, starring champion ice-skaters of the Russian school who will stage a great challenge between white and black angels leading to a happy ending.
The magic holiday atmosphere and the warmth of Christmas will also permeate the Convention Centre, with “THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS”, a tender happy-ending tale especially conceived for the amusement of the smallest ones. The Convention Centre will also be stage to the evocative “CHRISTMAS GOSPEL CAROUSEL”, a gospel concert, the traditional Christmas sound track. The Puppet Theatre will present the “HAPPY NEW YEAR PUPPETS SHOW”, the funny show dedicated to the preparation of the Season’s Holiday where Prezzemolo will be the perfect assistant to Santa Claus.
At sunset the “CHRISTMAS LIGHT PARADE”, a long and fascinating procession of floats, including Santa’s sleigh, will animate the Park and accompany the visitors towards the Valley of the Kings to the rhythm of the most famous Christmas songs. At the Valley of the Kings the Gardaland Christmas tale will be closed by the “WINTER NIGHT SHOW”: the great goodbye show that Santa and Prezzemolo, together with their many friends, will offer to all those in attendance. The fireworks grand finale will light up the sky over the Valley of the Kings accompanied by the most entertaining music.
During the GARDALAND MAGIC WINTER period access will be granted to the most famous outdoors and indoors attractions: the Flying Island, the Space Vertigo, the Magic Mountain, the Ikarus, the Valley of the Kings and the Arab Souk, the Privateers and the English Village, the Spectacular 4D Adventure, the Palablue and the Palaghiaccio, the West area, the Merry-go-round, the Trans Gardaland Express, the Fantasy Kingdom and many more…
During Christmas time, the full-rate admission will be € 18.00 and the reduced-rate admission will be € 15.00 (for children under 10 years, members of the Armed Forces and escorts for disabled persons). Children under one metre of height are admitted free of charge.
What best occasion to spend a magic and unforgettable Christmas with the whole family? In the best tradition, the Gardaland Hotel Resort will turn into a daydream for children and grown-ups alike: golden decorations, light cascades, sparkling colours, and theme music. The fountain located in the beautiful indoor yard will transform itself into a fairy-tale snow-covered forest. The magic atmosphere of the most thematized hotel in Italy will be the stage to gospel evening shows as well as special events. In order to offer a fully enchanting experience, the Gardaland Hotel Resort will be open throughout the month of December until January 6, included. Guests will be entertained by Prezzemolo & Friends, and Snow make-up Ladies; on December 25 the smallest guests will receive their presents from Santa. The hotel will also offer the traditional Christmas lunch. In the afternoon the hotel guests will have free access to the Christmas show at the park, while the day will close with fireworks by the hotel.
For those who wish to have an unforgettable New Year’s Eve, the Gardaland Hotel Resort offers a New Year’s Eve Party, with particular attention being paid to children who will be entertained by the Gardaland team. The Party will feature music, balls, shows and special night fireworks. On January 1 the hotel guests will be offered a complimentary admission to the “Grand Gala on Ice” at the Palaghiaccio especially reserved for them. Fun at the Gardaland Hotel Resort continues with the Italian tradition of “Befana” (the kindly old witch who brings children toys on Twelfth Night), who will bring children candies and socks full of sweets.
