| Project: TECHNOLOGY Is it all a question of magic or advanced technology? This lecture will illustrate the “technical” functioning of an attraction. The realization and assembling phases will be explained, and information will be given about yearly and daily maintenance to be performed before the Park opens to the public. In addition, the functioning of some of those attractions that are most interesting from an engineering point of view will be analysed. | Project: THAT’S HOW A SHOW IS BORN What is the secret of musicals? This project stems from the experience Gardaland has in acrobatic shows, musicals and theatre shows. Pupils will experience the creative process leading to the realization of a musical: from the script to the score, to the choreographies and costumes and will learn how it is structured: overture, opening number, production number, finale. Testimonies left by fossil plants and animals of the Secondary and Tertiary Eras Through the examination of fossil finds and the projection of images and pictures, plants and animals that lived during the past 200 million years will be compared to those existing today. | Project: CATERING When 200 people must eat, how do you organise the kitchen? This lecture will be focused on management and organisation of the catering service at Gardaland. The Park offers a wide variety of catering opportunities such as restaurants, pizzerias, fast foods and bars. The food cycle must satisfy preset quality and quantity standard criteria; supplies must be continuous and inventory must always be under control to ensure quality and quantity. | Project: THE ORIGINS OF LAKE GARDA Quaternary glaciations, the origin and physical and chemical features of Lake Garda The physical and geological origins of Lake Garda, the last glacial print and its physical characteristics (dimensions, hydrography, temperature, transparency, etc.) make it an economic resource and an important tourist resort. | Project: MARINE BIOLOGY Do dolphins communicate only through ultrasounds? At the Palablu pupils will get to know the fantastic world of dolphins. Biologists will introduce these amazing mammals and, after the lesson, it will be possible to admire the dolphins through the big windows of the underwater gallery and enjoy the free show at Palablu.
