MALCESINE CABLEWAY |

Mount Baldo, known as the Garden of Europe since ancient times for its biodiversity, hosts 32 species of orchids and counts as many as 27 types of endemic flower species. It can be reached by cableway from Malcesine – a medieval town known as “the pearl of the lake” – in just 10 minutes or so, overlooking the Mediterranean vegetation and the Alpine landscapes. From the summit of Mount Baldo one can admire breathtaking views over Lake Garda all the way to the Adamello Glaciers, from the Dolomites to the Po valley. Departure trips start at 09.30 a.m. from Malcesine on board the new cableway with its rotating cabins (second half of the climb). Typical local restaurants open for lunch.
